WHAT WE DO
The Hamels Foundation works domestically and internationally to provide high-quality educational opportunities and stimulating learning environments for students. Currently, The Hamels Foundation’s efforts are focused in the United States (North Texas-DFW/Arlington; Philadelphia, PA; Springfield, MO; and San Diego, CA) and in Malawi, Africa.
The effects of illiteracy and poor education only serve to continue the extreme cycle of poverty and illness for millions of individuals. However, a quality education can be the great equalizer for children to rise up and improve their future.
The Hamels Foundation supports quality, community-based education in the United States and in Malawi, Africa. We assist U.S. schools and other education-based nonprofits to provide stimulating learning environments, high-quality educational programs, and necessary provisions to promote learning. The Hamels Foundation is also dedicated to building a fully functioning school campus for children in grades 1-8 in the Namunda Village, located in the Mulanje District of Malawi, Africa.
OUR GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS
Annually, The Hamels Foundation provides financial grants to schools in order to support educational opportunities for children in the communities that we serve. In addition, our scholarship program gives financial aid to graduating seniors from select high schools to help cover the cost of higher education. Our goal is to meet the educational needs of children and see them succeed.
