MEET THE TEAM
We are a team of passionate, committed individuals who believe that empowering others can change the world. Our goal is to improve educational opportunities for children around the globe, so that they can become powerful difference-makers in their communities.
COLE & HEIDI HAMELS
As co-founders of The Hamels Foundation, Cole and Heidi are committed to improving the lives of children in the communities in which they live and work as well as in Malawi, Africa. Since establishing The Hamels Foundation in 2009, they have worked to make sure that 100% of all donations received go directly to support the mission of The Hamels Foundation. In addition to their work with The Hamels Foundation, they are also active with Operation 35, a program they fund through the Texas Rangers in which Cole and Heidi provide Ranger game tickets, on-field passes and meet and greet opportunities for members of the military throughout each season. Cole and Heidi have three children and spend as much of their free time as possible engaged in outdoor activities as a family.
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Kathy is one of the ‘original’ members of The Hamels Foundation team and was there when the foundation was still just a dream and getting started at her kitchen table with Cole and Heidi. Following a long career in the private sector, Kathy brought all of her organization, numbers knowledge, passion and witty sense of humor with her. Kathy keeps the chaos in order!
