GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS
OUR GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM
Annually, The Hamels Foundation provides financial grants to schools in order to support educational opportunities for children in the communities that we serve. In addition, our scholarship program gives financial aid to graduating seniors from select high schools to help cover the cost of higher education. Our goal is to meet the educational needs of children and see them succeed.

GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS
The Hamels Foundation is currently accepting applications for our 2019 Partners in Education Grant, which will award $10,000 to the winning applicant and $5,000 to the runner-up. Beginning January 1st, 2019, we will be considering requests from any educational institutions in the United States, both private and public, serving grades K-12 and non-profit organizations whose primary focus is on children and young adults age 18 and under.
SUBMISSION OF GRANT APPLICATION
All applications must be submitted by April 1st, 2019 or until The Hamels Foundation receives 100 submissions. If 100 submissions are received prior to April 1st, 2019, an announcement will be made and applications will be made unavailable.
REVIEW OF QUALIFIED APPLICATIONS
All grant requests that fall within our specific mission will be reviewed by a committee. In some instances, site visits and/or in-person interviews may be requested to obtain additional information regarding the submitted grant.
NOTIFICATION OF AWARDS
Notifications of awards will be made on May 6th, 2019 via e-mail or phone to kick-off Teacher Appreciation Week. Approval/denial letters will also be mailed.
Once notifications are made, those educational institutions and/or organizations that are selected for funding may be required to meet in person with members of The Hamels Foundation staff to review the required process of fulfilling approved grants.
The Hamels Foundation offers college assistance scholarships to students for the upcoming academic year. Our scholarships serve the areas in which Cole and Heidi grew up. Please see your high school counselor for more details.
