A Letter from our Founders

Hi Everyone!

We wanted to take a moment and personally invite all of you amazing teachers and administrators to apply for our 2019 Partners in Education Grant. It’s important for us to recognize and empower our educators. Because of you and the inspiring moments you pour into the lives of our future decision-makers, our world is a better place! We are so excited to open this campaign to ALL of America so the power of education can extend from coast to coast. We truly understand the struggle schools and faculty face every single day and want to give you a little insight on why this is so near and dear to our hearts.

I [Cole] grew up in the world of academia and learned of its importance early on in my life. My dad, Gary Hamels, worked in public education as a district administrator for over 35 years. He believed that all students should receive an equal education, a value he instilled in me and something I am proud to pass on through The Hamels Foundation.

Working in the public school system myself, I [Heidi] know the day-to-day effort it takes to be a true leader and positive force…to be someone who doesn’t give up on students no matter the obstacles. Working in Physical Education, I saw first-hand the volume of projects and non-mandatory programs that were underfunded, let alone fundamental courses necessary for education. Together, we wanted to create an equal opportunity where all teachers and administrators could fairly and easily have a chance to change the lives of their students, and here it is!

We salute you for your daily contribution to being a bright light in a child’s life. We are so very proud and honored to call you our “hope”. From our hearts to yours, we encourage you to apply for our 2019 Partners in Education Grant!

Thank you and good luck,

Heidi & Cole Signatures
