Q: What is the Hamels Foundation?
The Hamels Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation that was founded in September 2008 by Cole and Heidi Hamels.
The goal of The Hamels Foundation is to support low-income inner-city school systems in the United States through their grant programs, which provide for construction, educational supplies, and provisions as well as scholarship opportunities for continuing education of students.
Extending globally, The Hamels Foundation is dedicated to building a Primary School (Grades 108) in the Namunda Village of Malawi, Africa. We celebrated groundbreaking in November, 2012 and our first school blocks are under construction throughout 2013. Previously, donations to The Hamels Foundation provided a clean water source for both the village and the school. We look forward to welcoming the first students as well as teachers in the fall of 2013.
