The Community Partners Program was developed to provide local stores with the opportunity to select non-profits of their choice to receive the Wells Fargo grants. HUP Pharmacy’s Octobeard fundraiser benefits the Hamels Foundation

Pharmacists at HUP Pharmacy spent October growing facial hair for a great cause.  Twenty-two men grew their beards for the month and gathered fifty-two female sponsors to watch the transformation.  They also sold raffle tickets and raised over $3,400 dollars for the Hamels Foundation. Mike Kleinschmidt, an enthusiastic participant wrote, "It has been our pleasure to help out such a great cause, and we look forward to future endeavors with Cole's charity." Just a couple months ago, on June 1st, The Hamels Foundation presented a check to Bayard Taylor Elementary School $300,000 for a complete outdoor renovation.
