Sistas T-Shirts and Onesies At The Children’s Boutique, Help support The Hamels Foundation
In honor of Spring Training for pitchers and catchers, The Children's Boutique is partnering with The Hamels Foundation and Sistas Shirts to raise awareness and money in support of their campaign for "Education is the Answer".
In 2008, Heidi Hamels and her sister Dawn Strobel formed a tee-shirt company called Sistas Shirts.Each shirt features fun phrases for women athletes and their children, with every donation of $15 or larger, receive a Sistas Shirt and help enrich the lives of children by giving them the tools to achieve their goals.
3rd Annual “Diamond in the Rough” Casino and Poker Night
On Dec. 2nd, 2011,The Hamels Foundation Hosted the 3rd Annual "Diamond in the Rough" Casino/ Poker Night in Springfield, Missouri.The event was to support and raise awareness of "Care to Learn, a non-profit organization ran by Doug Pitt, brother of Brad Pitt who helped him start Care to Learn. Cole and Heidi Hamels presented them with a $10,000 check to help their organization. Care to Learn provides immediate funding and action to meet any emergent health, hunger, or hygiene issue and restore a child's self-respect so they can get back in the classroom. A toothbrush.
